How long do I wait?

We deliver our local deliveries Wednesday to Saturday.  At checkout you can select your preferred delivery day, which includes a next day delivery for orders made before 12pm, and wherever possible we will deliver on this day.  However, due to the demands on our local delivery service at present, our routes are worked out daily and we may move your day to one that better suits our delivery round.  Our local deliveries are made between 9am and 3pm.

Do I need to be in?

Our local deliveries are not packaged in insulated packaging, and therefore we recommend that someone is at home in order to safely put your delivery in the fridge or freezer.  However, if you’re not going to be in, please leave a cool box with some ice packs for us to put your delivery into, and tell us where this will be in the additional notes section of the checkout page.

I'm unable to select my preferred delivery date at checkout, why is this?

We’ve either reached capacity for the date you have chosen, or you have passed the required notice period that we need in order to process your order; please select another date.

NATIONWIDE DELIVERY FAQ

At Dunwood, we know that our job is only complete once you have safely received your order.  We use a national overnight courier (APC) to deliver your order, with your produce kept at fridge temperatures in our Wool Cool packaging, for upto 48 hours. We’ve tried to make our delivery process as clear as possible with our FAQs below, but if you still have a question, then please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.

Where in the country do you deliver?

As we use a national courier, we deliver to most parts of Great Britain, except the Highlands and Islands. If you’re unsure whether you qualify as part of the Highlands and Islands, then please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

How long after placing my order will I have to wait for my delivery?

National deliveries are despatched on an overnight courier to arrive with you on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, and require 48hours notice.  Therefore please order on Monday before 12pm for delivery Wednesday, on Tuesday before 12pm for delivery on Thursday, and Wednesday before 12pm for delivery on Friday.

You can select your preferred delivery date at checkout for this week, or weeks in advance.  At times due to either a product being out of stock, or our courier collecting earlier than normal your order may be moved to the following day; in this eventuality, we will contact you to confirm your rescheduled delivery day.

Is there a minimum order value?

There is a minimum over value of £30.

What is the delivery charge?

National delivery is available for a flat fee of £9.95, but if you spend £110 or more, national delivery is FREE of charge

Will I know when my order is going to be delivered?

All of our parcels are sent on a before 4pm courier, ensuring that your delivery arrives in good time.  You will also be sent a text message or e-mail to confirm your predicted delivery time by APC.

Can you leave my order safe?

Yes, we can leave your order safe if you are unable to receive it.  At checkout please advise us of a safe location, preferably somewhere that keeps the parcel out of the rain, such as the shed, porch or entrance hall.  We often have parcels delivered to work addresses, please just ensure your delivery address and billing address are written differently if required.   As our produce is perishable we automatically instruct our courier to leave the delivery in a safe place if you are not in – you will be given a card detailing where this safe place is.

How will my order remain cold?

Our wool cool packaging performs better than polystyrene, and we pack the boxes generously with ice sheets, ensuring that your produces remains cold whilst waiting for you to return home.  Simply pop your meat into the fridge or freezer when you return home.

What happens if there is a problem with my delivery?

If for some reason there is a problem with your delivery, or it has not arrived, we will work on your behalf with the courier to rectify the issue, keeping you informed of updates throughout.
